Career

Raivis Jurkovskis began his career in the youth of FK Liepājas Metalurgs . In 2013 the association was dissolved when the owner and his company Liepājas Metalurgs filed for bankruptcy. Jurkovskis joined the successor club FK Liepāja founded by former members of the club in February 2013 . In 2015 he made his professional debut for the club in Virslīga . At the end of the season he won the championship title with the team. The midfielder was used in 15 league games and scored two goals. In the 2016 season he played on loan at FK Rīgas Futbola skola . After returning to Liepāja , he won the Latvian Cup in 2018 .

National team

Raivis Jurkovskis made his debut in the Latvian U-19 national team against Estonia on May 31, 2014 . He was also able to score his first goal in the jersey of Latvia. By the end of the year he played six more games, but remained without a goal. From September 2015 Jurkovskis played for the U-21s . In two years he had sixteen missions. On February 3, 2018, he made his international debut in the senior national team against South Korea .
