Rajiv Jain
Rajiv Jain (born November 29, 1964 in Lucknow , Uttar Pradesh ) is an Indian cameraman .
Life
After studying physics at the University of Lucknow , he was accepted at the Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts (Bhartendu Natya Akademi, BNA) in Lucknow. After obtaining a diploma from the academy, he started working in the Indian film industry. Rajiv began his career in commercial photography and made a number of television commercials in the late 1980s . This made him a respected figure in the Indian film industry. Rajiv joined Mumbai's City Film Studios in May 1989 and was engaged in 3D film in cinematography . He brought years of film and video experience to the productions. As director of photography(DoP), he specialized in the recording of commercials and feature films in 35 mm film format. His work as a DoP includes 14 full-length films, 15 shorts, 2504 commercials, 9 TV series, 145 music videos, and 175 documentaries and infomercials . As a DoP and camera operator, Rajiv has extensive experience with special camera systems, lens systems, SFX techniques, Tyler helicopter mounts, cranes and jibs, probe and swing-shift lens systems, blue and green screen techniques , white limbus and HDTV. His freelance work has taken him to Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
