The Wetka Raion ( Belarusian Веткаўскі раён ; Russian Ветковский район ) is an administrative unit in Homelskaya Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city of Wetka . The Rajon has an area of ​​1558 km² and comprises 139 villages, only 82 of which are inhabited, the remaining 37 settlements are in the exclusion zone after the Chernobyl disaster , the contaminated area was evacuated due to the high radiation levels .
