Rakhine United (officially: The Arakan Warriors ), also known as The Lions , is a soccer club from Myanmar . The club is based in Sittwe and plays in the highest league in the country, the Myanmar National League .

Club history

The association was founded in 2009. In 2010 the club changed its name to Rakhapura United . From 2011 to 2013 they played in the Myanmar National League . In 2012 the club name was changed back to the original name Rakhine United FC. In 2013, the club took last place and you had to make your way to the second division, in the MNL-2 . In 2014 they became runner- up in the MNL-2 behind the champions Hanthawaddy United and they rose again to the Myanmar National League.
