Rakitno is a village municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina right on the border with Croatia and belongs to the large municipality of Posušje . The nearest major city is Posušje. The villages Poklečani , Vrpolje and Sutina belong to the municipality .

Geographical location

Rakitno, the area of ​​which extends over an area of ​​32 square kilometers, is located about 15 km north of the town of Posušje at an altitude of 880 to 920 meters above sea level. A few kilometers away is the Blidinje National Park and the Čvrsnica Mountain, the so-called "Roof of Herzegovina ".

Rakitno is almost exclusively inhabited by Croatians .
