Ralf Haub (born July 26, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

career

With SpVgg Bad Homburg , the striker reached first place in the Landesliga Hessen Süd in the 1986/87 season and the associated promotion to the highest German amateur class, the Oberliga Hessen . Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt became aware of the young offensive player and signed him for the following season. In addition to team-mates like Charly Körbel and Manfred Binz , Ralf Haub made his debut in the Bundesliga on August 14, 1987 (3rd matchday) in the 3-0 defeat of Eintracht against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . In the further course of the season he came under coach Karl-Heinz Feldkamp but only to four short appearances in the league and one DFB Cup. Haub turned his back on Frankfurt and joined the second division promoted Viktoria Aschaffenburg for the 1988/89 season . There he became a top scorer (36 games, 16 goals) and at the end of the season ended up in third place on the top scorer list of the 2nd division. Despite his accuracy and the team's good home record of 27:11 points, relegation could not be ensured. Due to a completely inadequate 7:31 away count, Viktoria slipped to the relegation ranks on June 18, 1989 after the 1: 2 final defeat at Wattenscheid 09 and thus returned to the amateur camp. After relegation to the Oberliga Hessen, Ralf Haub initially stayed in Aschaffenburg in 1989/90, but switched to league rivals Kickers Offenbach in the spring of 1990 . With the OFC, he finished third behind KSV Hessen Kassel and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt at the end of the season . Once again, the striker opted for a change of clubs and joined the 1990/91 season the SC Preussen Munster on, for he played in the second league again 19 games and scored two goals.

After the Westphalians were relegated from the 2nd division, Haub returned to his homeland in Hesse. The brief interlude at Inter Oberursel was followed by his return to SpVgg Bad Homburg in 1992, a guest appearance at FSV Frankfurt in 1993 and a commitment to SG Egelsbach in the Regionalliga Süd in 1994 . In the summer of 1995 he rejoined the SpVgg from Bad Homburg, which had slipped into the regional league, and led them back to the league after two promotions in 1998. The association ran into financial difficulties and had to file for bankruptcy. Ralf Haub took over as coach at the newly founded SC 99 Bad Homburg and achieved three other championships. Until 2008 he worked for the later renamed SpVgg 05/99 Bad Homburg . This was followed by a short coaching activity at the Bad Homburg district association SG Ober-Erlenbach (Upper Taunus District League) until the beginning of 2010. Ralf Haub has been back in the coaching team of SpVgg 05 Bad Homburg since January 2010.
