Ralf Hauboldt (born February 7, 1961 in Kölleda ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). He has been the mayor of Sömmerda since July 1, 2012 .

Life

Ralf Hauboldt completed his training as a machining specialist in 1977 . This was followed by his basic military service in the National People's Army in the helicopter squadron from 1984 . In 1987 he passed his master craftsman examination in the field of manufacturing technology . In 1988 he moved to the FDJ as a full-time secretary and in 1990, in the year of German reunification , he became full-time FDJ state chairman. In 1992 he became a constituency worker.

politics

Ralf Hauboldt became a member of the SED in 1979 . Until September 2011 he was district chairman of the DIE LINKE party in the Sömmerda district . He then passed this honorary position on to his previous deputy, Tobias Steinkopf.

At the municipal level , he is a member of the Sömmerda district council and is chairman of the parliamentary group there. He also sits in Sömmerda for his party on the city council.

From 2004 to 2012 he was a member of the Thuringian state parliament . There he was deputy group chairman .

On April 22nd, Hauboldt was elected the new mayor of Sömmerda in the first ballot.
