Ralf Herrmann

Ralf Herrmann (* 1956 ) is a German composer and music teacher .

Life

Ralf Herrmann completed a music degree in the music department of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with an artistic degree (subjects: piano / trombone ).

He took part in several international jazz and big band courses, including with Jiggs Whigham (director of the BBC Big Band ) and Peter Herbolzheimer (Rhythm Combination & Brass).

His work as a music processor and composer in the jazz field resulted in an international publication in 2002 (piano band "Swing It") and in 2005 a CD production (10 Jazz Etudes for piano , op. 9).

Herrmann organized and directed several artistic projects in the fields of jazz & brass. He is the Artistic Director of the pRH Big Band.

He teaches as a freelance pianist and at the Kreismusikschule Birkenfeld eV as a freelance artist in the brass instrument department . The result of his music education activities are several winners in the music competition " Jugend musiziert ".
