Ralf Pretzsch (born November 17, 1953 ) was a football player in the GDR upper league . In the top division of the GDR Football Association , he played for Chemie Leipzig and Chemie Buna Schkopau .

Until October 1977, the electrician Pretzsch played soccer in the third-class Halle district league with the company sports association (BSG) Turbine Halle . After only a few point games in the 1977/78 season, he was delegated to the regional football focus, the league club Hallescher FC Chemie (HFC) . After he was first used for the HFC in the junior league, he was nominated for the 1978/79 season for the GDR Oberliga team. The 1.79 m tall striker was never used in the major league and was delegated back to Turbine Halle at the end of the season. From there he went to the league promoted BSG Chemie Leipzig after a few weeks. There, too, he first played in the junior league, in which he played 17 games by the end of the season. He came to his only league game for Chemie Leipzig on matchday 21. In the game on April 12, 1980 HFC - Chemie Leipzig (2-0) he was substituted on in the 77th minute.

For the 1980/81 season Pretzsch joined the second-rate GDR league club BSG Chemie Buna Schkopau. Pretzsch played 19 of the 30 league games played and scored two goals. So he had a share in the team's surprising rise to the top division. In contrast to his previous upper league experience, Pretzsch was a regular at Schkopauer from the start and played all 26 upper division games, mainly on the left attacking side. However, he only scored one goal. The BSG Chemie Buna could only stay in the league for one season and rose as the worst team of the 1981/82 season back into the GDR league. There Pretzsch played three seasons for Schkopau until 1985, after which he ended his career as a football player in the performance area at the age of 31.

He was a nominal league player in three seasons, but only played a total of 27 first division games for Leipzig and Schkopau. He shot his only upper ligator for Schkopau.
