Dieter Steinmeyer

Dieter Steinmeyer (* 1948 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) was a member of the executive board at Beiersdorf AG from 1990 to 2008 .

After graduating from high school in 1969 and doing an internship at Honeywell GmbH , Steinmeyer studied business administration at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt until 1975 . This was followed by postgraduate studies at Harvard Business School in Boston , which he completed with an MBA and as a Baker Scholar.

In 1978 he started working for Baxter Inc. in Deerfield , Illinois, where he held executive positions in the USA and Germany. In 1990 he was appointed to the Executive Board of Beiersdorf AG and was responsible for the then tesa division until 2001 . In 2001 he was appointed CEO of tesa SE. Under Steinmeyer, the company was able to gain market share, comprehensively expand international business - especially in Asia and Eastern Europe - and significantly improve profitability. Since his resignation as CEO in 2008, he has been a deputy chairman of the supervisory board of tesa SE.
