Ralf Reichwald

Ralf Reichwald (born April 1, 1943 in Pschow ) is a German industrial and organizational scientist. From 1990 to 2009 he held the chair for business administration - information, organization and management at the Technical University of Munich .

Life

Ralf Reichwald studied business administration at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the Philipps-Universität Marburg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich from 1965 to 1969. From 1970 to 1975 he worked at the LMU Munich as a research assistant, where he spent a year 1973 PhD. Ralf Reichwald held a professorship for production management and ergonomics from 1975 to 1989 at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . From 1991 to 1993 he was the founding dean of the Faculty of Economics at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg , which awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1994 and the title of Honorary Senator in 2013. Ralf Reichwald was significantly involved in the reform project of the Technical University of Munich and was involved in several reform commissions for the restructuring of this university. From 2002 to 2005 he was the first elected dean of the newly founded economic science faculty at the Technical University of Munich .

In 2006 he co-founded the Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation ( Handelshochschule Leipzig ), where he continues to be active in research as academic director of the CLIC and as an adjunct professor at HHL. In addition, he is a long-time visiting professor at the University of Tunis El Manar, which awarded him the title of Professor honoris causa for his work in research and teaching in 2006 . Ralf Reichwald has headed the Advisory Board of the Peter Pribilla Foundation at the Technical University of Munich since 2005, and has been Emeritus of Excellence at the Technical University of Munich since 2009. In 2013 he received the plaque of honor from the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

Ralf Reichwald lives in Munich and Wolfratshausen .

Fields of activity

The research work of Prof. Reichwald lies primarily in empirical management and organizational research. Furthermore, he is involved in numerous research projects with the piloting and application of new information and communication technologies, with the innovation of services as well as with leadership and management systems.
