Ramon Abella
Ramón Abella , full name Ramón Neptuno Abella Caside , (born February 16, 1922 in Montevideo , † 1989 ) was a Uruguayan swimmer and water polo player .
Ramón Abella, also known as Neptuno Abella, was part of the Uruguayan squad at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London . At the games in England he was a member of the water polo team and finished with the team after two defeats against Belgium (1:10) and the USA (0: 7) in 13th place in the Olympic tournament won by Italy. He also took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1951 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires . There he started swimming.
