Pascual Díaz y Barreto SJ (born June 2, 1876 in Zapopan , Jalisco , Mexico , † May 19, 1936 ) was Archbishop of Mexico City .

Life

Pascual Díaz y Barreto joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in 1896 and received at the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 11, 1922, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Tabasco. The auxiliary bishop in Mexico City, Maximino Ruiz y Flores , donated him episcopal ordination on February 2, 1923 ; Co- consecrator was the Bishop of San Luis Potosí , Miguel María de la Mora y Mora . The inauguration took place on February 28 of the same year. On June 25, 1929 Pius XI appointed him. as Archbishop of Mexico City. The inauguration took place on June 28 of the same year.
