The Ramal de Montemor railway was a branch line in Portugal . It connected the Torre da Gadanha train station on the Linha do Alentejo with the town of Montemor-o-Novo over a length of 12.8 km.
The line was inaugurated on September 2, 1909 and shut down along with other rail lines in 1988. A few years later the tracks were also removed.
The route of the former railway line is now to be used as a cycle path. The railroad cycling movement is now active throughout Portugal and calls for the rededication of the routes that were mostly closed in 1988.
