Rameshwar Oraon

Rameshwar Oraon (born February 14, 1947 in Chianki , Jharkhand ) is an Indian politician who, as a candidate for the Congress Party, represents the constituency of Lohardaga in the east Indian state of Jharkhand in the national lower house .

Oraon received his PhD in Economics from the University of Ranchi before joining the National Police Service in 1972.

On April 7, 2008, Oraon was sworn in as Minister of Tribal Affairs ("tribal affairs") in the first cabinet under Manmohan Singh . The new government under Manmohan Singh from 2009 he did not belong to more.
