The Ramkhamhaeng Memorial ( Thai พระบรม ราชา นุ สาว รี ย์ พ่อขุน รามคำแหง มหาราช , RTGS Phra Borom Rachanusawari Pho Khun Ram Khamhaeng Maharat ) is a memorial to the third ruler of the historical empire of Sukhothai and alleged founder of the Thai script , King Ramkhamhaeng (b. around 1239, died around 1298, reign around 1279 to around 1298), in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sukhothai in Tambon (municipality) Mueang Kao of Amphoe (district) Mueang Sukhothai of Changwat (province) Sukhothai in northern Thailand .

The monument is located in a spacious square in the center of the inner area of the Sukhothai Historical Park. The center of the monument consists of a bronze statue of the king in a seated position on a replica of the Manangkhasila Asana Throne. The sculpture rises on a marble base, which in turn rests on a brick gallery. In the background the statue is flanked by bronze reliefs with scenes from the life of the ruler.

On the eastern side there is a replica of the so-called Inscription Stone No. 1, which is considered the earliest evidence of Thai writing and is ascribed to the king.

The memorial is highly regarded by the local population and as a result is very popular every day. Once a year, on January 17th, the all-day Ramkhamhaeng Festival takes place with the participation of school classes and music groups. Vendors of handicrafts, food and drinks offer their goods at market stalls. The provincial governor and high-ranking monks give speeches in memory of the historical ruler.

In the 16 series of 20 baht Thai banknotes, the memorial was depicted on the back of the banknote.
