economy
The city's economy is characterized by flour production and small metal processing companies. One fifth of the urban area is used for agriculture.
The Bamalete Lutheran Hospital , which was founded by the Hermannsburg Mission , has existed in Ramotswa for many years . This hospital provides medical care for large parts of southern Botswana and, in some areas, the entire country.
