Ran-D (born May 18, 1981 in Zeeland , North Brabant Province ; real name Randy Wieland ) is a Dutch hardstyle DJ.

Career

Visiting festivals enabled Wieland to develop an interest in hardstyle music early on. He began to experiment with this music himself. After a call to the head of the Dutch music label "Special Records", he negotiated a deal and released his first single D-Pression there in collaboration with A-Drive . This was followed by a single release on "Droppin 'Beats", which was created together with DJ Pulse and MC Rems, whereupon the Italian hardstyle musician Zatox became aware of him.

Through Zatox's support he got into the Alpha Twins alias Alpha², which enabled him to publish on their record label "A² Records", a sub-label of the successful Dutch hardstyle label "Scantraxx". The following year he worked on the single Say Yeah together. The duo also enabled him to perform at the Q-Dance Festival Qountdown, together with B-Front in December 2008. This marked his first appearance in front of a large festival audience. In the following year he also appeared there solo for the first time.

At the same time he got to know the also Dutch DJ and producer Adaro , with whom he also produced a track. In 2010 alone, two follow-up singles followed, whereupon they decided to found the Duo Gunz for Hire in 2011, under which they both appear at various festivals and publish their own singles.

In 2012 he signed a contract with "Scantraxx", where he published until 2015, when he founded his own label with Adaro, Frequencerz and B-Front under the name "Roughstate". He performed at various major hardstyle festivals, including Defqon.1 , Q-Base , InQontrol , X-Qlusive and The Qontinent.
