Randolf Stich

Randolf Stich (born February 20, 1966 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ). He is State Secretary in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Interior .

Life

Stich studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz with a legal clerkship in Koblenz and Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. In 1997 he became a judge at the Koblenz District Court and the Westerburg District Court . In 2003 he was appointed presiding judge at the Koblenz Regional Court. Since 2006 he has been an honorary judge at the Episcopal Disciplinary Chamber of the Diocese of Mainz for internal church disputes.

Stich was initially a consultant in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Justice and then moved to the Ministry of the Interior. There he became deputy head of the central department and the central office for IT management, multimedia, eGovernment and administrative modernization . In February 2014 he was appointed Ministerial Director at the suggestion of Interior Minister Roger Lewentz ( Dreyer I cabinet ) . Since 2015 he has been State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior and Sport in Rhineland-Palatinate. He succeeded Heike Raab .

Stich takes care of the subjects of civil protection , armed forces , surveying and geoinformation as well as infrastructure and IT management , multimedia, e-government and administrative modernization . In addition, he is responsible for the state's constitutional protection , state law and legislation .
