Randy Piper

William Randall “Randy” Piper (born April 13, 1953 in San Antonio , Texas ) is an American musician who became known in the 1980s as the guitarist of the shock rock / metal band WASP .

biography

At the age of 15, Piper moved to Los Angeles , where he played in several bands . In 1976 Piper met Blackie Lawless in Hollywood , with whom he founded the band Circus Circus in 1979 . One of her songs, 1980's Ladies , was later recorded by Kiss and can be found on various bootlegs. The end of this band led to the formation of WASP in 1981 , with which Piper recorded and toured two albums in 1984 and 1985. Piper's trademarks were specially made custom guitars, such as B. one in the shape of a skull. After Randy left WASP in the spring of 1986, he worked with Alice Cooper for a few months . In 1988 Piper launched Animal , with whom he still makes music today. Her first album was released in 2003. In the meantime he played in a band called King's Horses . Rumors that Piper was killed in a car accident in Sweden on March 12, 1999, turned out to be false.
