Ranftlmühle

The Ranftlmühle is a historic watermill located on the Stimitz near the village of Gößl in the Grundlsee municipality in the Ausseerland .

The wooden mill, built in 1850, was named after the Viennese painter Johann Matthias Ranftl (1805–1854), who liked to be at the Grundlsee. From 2009 the mill was extensively renovated.

The Ranftlmühle plays an important role in Herbert Dutzler's old Ausseekrimi “Last Char”.
