Ranko Despotović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ранко Деспотовић , born January 21, 1983 in Loznica ) is a Serbian football player who has played for Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan's J. League Division 1 since 2011 .

Career

In the 2006/07 season he was, in the service of Vojvodina Novi Sad , top scorer in the Serbian SuperLiga with 17 goals. In winter 2008 he moved to the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest for a transfer fee of 1.2 million euros . Half a year later he was the dream player of the former team boss of the Serbian national team , Javier Clemente , and was signed by Real Murcia in July 2008 for 1.7 million euros . After a year it was awarded to UD Salamanca . In the 2010/11 season he played for Girona FC in the Segunda División and scored 18 goals in 34 games.

For the Serbian national soccer team , he has so far not scored a goal.
