Ranunculus sprunerianus is a plant type from the family of the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae).

description

Ranunculus sprunerianus is a strong, persistent stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 20 to 35 centimeters. The stem is sparsely branched and three- to eleven-flowered. The basal leaves three-lobed to three-lobed and heart-shaped at the base. The sections are notched at the top. In addition, the basal leaves have pressed hair. The crown is 10 to 15 millimeters in size. The nuts are blunt triangular and 2 millimeters in size. The beak is also 2 millimeters tall and curved downwards at the tip.

The flowering time is in April.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 16.

Occurrence

Ranunculus sprunerianus occurs in the eastern Mediterranean . In Crete, the species grows on banks, on rubble, in woods and on walls at altitudes of 400 to 1750 meters.
