Ranvika is a bay on the Von Bellingshausen coast in the northeast of the West Antarctic Peter I Island .
It was discovered in 1927 during the Antarctic voyage of Odd I (1926–1927) financed by the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Lars Christensen under Captain Eyvind Tofte (1880–1968). He named it Ranvik after Christensen's estate in Norway. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names adjusted this name in 1952 to avoid confusion with bays of the same name in Princess Elisabeth Land (see Ranvik ) and on South Georgia (see Ranvik ).
