Raoul de Pontbriant
Raoul de Pontbriant (* 1811 , † 1891 ) was a French- Romanian linguist , Rumänist , translator and lexicographer.
life and work
Pontbriant was a professor of French in Romania . He translated Ovid into Romanian and in 1862 published a Romanian-French dictionary with 28,000 Romanian entries and etymological references.
