Raphael Schaschko (born June 7, 1985 in Herrenberg ) is a German soccer player . He is mostly used as a left defender.

Career

In his youth, Schaschko played for Phönix Pfalzgrafenweiler for ten years . In 2000 he moved to the youth team at VfB Stuttgart, where he played until 2004. He won the German A youth championship title in 2003 with the VfB U19. In various German youth national teams he came to 17 missions.

After Schaschko had been a regular player for the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the Regionalliga Süd for two and a half years from 2004 , he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for SpVgg Unterhaching in January 2007 . In the second half of the 2006/07 season he played 14 games, but had to relegate Unterhaching to the Regionalliga Süd. In the following season Schaschko completed all 34 games, with two goals. He qualified with the SpVgg for the newly created 3rd division .

In the summer of 2010, Schaschko left the SpVgg after three and a half years and joined the northern regional division Chemnitzer FC , with whom he reached the championship and promotion to the third division in 2010/11 . For the 2012/13 season he moved to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the new Regionalliga Südwest .

After completing secondary school, Raphael Schaschko trained as a refrigeration system builder .
