Raquel Galdes

Raquel Galdes (born September 5, 1996 in Gudja ) is a Maltese singer .

Life

Raquel Galdes was born on September 5, 1996 in Gudja, Malta . She started singing as a child and joined a Maltese choir in 2002. In 2013, the singer took part in a national singing competition with the song Mhux Pupa Biss , which was written by Dominic Cini , and came in eighth. In the same year she took part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest , the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , with the song Invisible , which was written by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg , and reached the semifinals of the show as one of 20. Also in 2013, Galdes reached the third round on the British version of the casting show X-Factor . The following year she again took part in the preliminary round for the ESC and made it to the semi-finals with the song Stop Haunting Me , which took place on November 21, 2014. In this, however, she could not qualify for the final.

Raquel Galdes is currently studying business administration in Malta, and in 2015 she will be studying music at The Institute music school in London .
