Dominic Cini , also Dominic Minik (* before 1998 in Vittoriosa , Malta ) is a Maltese singer , songwriter and music producer .

Life

Dominic Cini attended Lorenzo Gafa Secondary School , later he went to St. Theresa's High School . He studied music at the Lorenzo Gafà School and graduated there in 1998. Minik started taking singing lessons at the age of six and learned to play the saxophone for eight years . Cini is a singer, actor , songwriter and record producer both in Malta and abroad. He played in Maltese television series such as Ipokriti , Déjà Vu and Katrina . Cini took part both as a singer and as a composer in various national and international competitions, in 2009 a song he composed was third at the Festival Indipendenza , in 2013 two of his songs reached first and second place. In 2010, Cini took part as a singer at the Sea Song Festival , a major Ukrainian music festival.

In the course of his career, he applied several times to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest , the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , but never made it to the final. He worked there several times as a background singer and songwriter. In 2014 he reached the semi-finals of the preliminary decision with the song Once in a While , which took place on November 21, 2014 at Marsa Shipbuilding in Marsa . He qualified for the final and finished twelfth.

On May 17, 2008 he married his partner Ina Robinich. He currently works at Freetime Productions .
