Rashid Ayupov
Raschid Abatullauly Ajupow ( Kazakh Рашид Абатұллаұлы Аюпов , Russian Рашид Абатович Аюпов Raschid Abatowitsch Ajupow ; born March 4, 1981 in Kentau , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician . He has been mayor of the city of Turkistan since July 2019 .
Life
Raschid Ajupow was born in Kentau in 1981 . He attended the University of Schymkent and the Pedagogical University of Schymkent. He holds a degree in computer science from the Academic Innovative University in Schymkent . He also graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a degree in Public Administration in 2015 .
Ajupow began his professional career in 2000 at a production cooperative in his hometown of Kentau. From 2004 he worked for the Agency for Public Service Affairs. Here he worked at the Center for Information and Testing, of which he was Deputy Director between 2006 and 2008. From 2008 to 2009 he was director of this facility. Between 2009 and 2015, he held various positions in the Kazakh Prime Minister's office. He then became Chief of Staff of the Mayor's Office of Shymkent before holding a post in the Nur Otan party between 2017 and 2018 .
Ayupov has been the mayor of Turkistan since July 3, 2019 .
