Environment Council

The Environment Council (Engl. Environment Council ) is a formation of the Council of the European Union and is composed of the environment ministers of the Member States of the European Union together. The council formation, which meets around four times a year, deals with current and long-term issues of EU environmental and EU climate policy . The ordinary legislative procedure applies to these areas , i.e. resolutions are passed with a qualified majority and with the involvement of the European Parliament .
