Bernburg town hall
The town hall Bernburg is the town hall of the city of Bernburg (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt .
The building not far from Bernburg Palace at Schloßgartenstrasse 16 was built in 1895 in the neo-renaissance style as the administration building of the Sparkasse . The facade of the building is richly decorated. A tall tower crowned by a lantern makes the house a very striking building. The tower portal is much older than the building itself. The portal with seating niches facing Schloßstraße dates back to around 1600 and was originally in Güsten .
After a fire in the Johann Georgen building in the castle, the district administration moved in and used today's town hall until 1921. In 1938, the Bernburg flower clock was built in front of the building .
A remarkable detail of the interior is a world time clock created by Johann Ignaz Fuchs on the first floor.
