Ratpert (Abbot)

Ratpert († around 782 ) was briefly abbot of the St. Gallen monastery . The records of his life are scant. Even the oldest abbot lists name an abbot by the name of Ratpert in 782. Since his predecessor John II of Konstanz died on February 9, 782, and the first document of his successor Waldo von Reichenau was from November 8 of the same year Ratbert was only in office for around 8 months. However, this information is uncertain.
