Raukorn
Rauhkorn (early modern also Rauchkorn , today to be written as Raukorn ) is a historical name for "rough grain ", ie grain with awns . These are especially spelled , oats and barley . The opposite of “smooth grain” denotes species without awns, for example wheat .
Rough grain also referred to the mixture of different types of grain; In the delivery of threshed, mixed grain, the synonymous term Rauhkern was used.
