Raúl Paz

Raúl Paz (* 1969 in San Luis , Pinar del Río , Cuba ) is a Cuban singer-songwriter and composer.

With his musical style, he is considered to be an important representative of the so-called new Cuban music, as he has developed it further with elements of hip-hop , dub and rock to a fusion of salsa , jazz and electro-pop . The album Mulata gave him his international breakthrough in 2003.

From 1996 to 2008 he lived in South America and France , mostly in Paris .
