Rauli Tsirekidze
Rauli Tsirekidze ( Georgian რაულ ცირეკიძე ; born May 24, 1987 in Kutaisi ) is a Georgian weightlifter .
Career
Tsirekidze reached seventh place in the class up to 85 kg at the 2006 European Championships . In 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games . At the European Championships in 2012 , he won the gold medal. In the same year he took part in his second Olympic Games , in which he finished ninth. He finished third at the 2013 European Championships . However, his doping test was positive and he was banned for two years. A review of Tsirekidze's doping sample from the 2012 Olympics was also positive for Turinabol . He was therefore subsequently disqualified in 2016.
