Caterpillar (sculpture)
Raupe is a light sculpture in Bremen . It is located in Bremen- Mitte on President-Kennedy-Platz at the Bremen State Archives and is included in the list of monuments and statues of the city of Bremen .
The work is attributed to Pop Art and was created in 1974 during the first public sculpture campaign.
The sculpture made of acrylic glass , polyester and foam on a steel pedestal comes from the sculptor Bernd Uiberall . A caterpillar hangs from a large plexiglass cube, "which looks very real in its design due to the many small hairs that are suggested". In the evening the work of art is illuminated.
