Ray Hinsdale

Raymond Franklin Hinsdale (born January 5, 1906 in Los Angeles County , California , United States ; † July 15, 1955 in Los Angeles , ibid) was an American film technician who won the 1945 Oscar for technical achievement ( Technical Achievement Award ) was awarded.

Life

Hinsdale worked as a film technician for Paramount Pictures and was awarded the Academy Award for Technical Merit at the 1945 Academy Awards . He received this honor for "the development and productive use of the floating hydraulic ship rocker by Paramount Pictures" ('For the development and production use of the Paramount floating hydraulic boat rocker'). Hinsdale received the Technical Achievement Award together with Joseph E. Robbins and Russ Brown .
