Björn von der Wellen (* 1980 in Ankum ) is a German actor .

Life

Björn von der Wellen completed his acting training at the European Theater Institute in Berlin from September 2006 to August 2009 . Further acting coaching took place between 2010 and 2015 with Frank Betzelt and Sigrid Andersson ( Die Gasstelle ) in Berlin.

From 2008 to 2011 he was engaged at the Ratibor Theater in Berlin, where he was part of the permanent ensemble of the improvisational theater "Die Gorillas". After graduating from 2010, von der Wellen had various theater engagements, including a. at the Landungsbrücken Frankfurt (2010–2011; inter alia as Robespierre in Dantons Tod ), at Hamburger Sprachwerk (2010–2011), at the Theater der Keller in Cologne (2011; as Robespierre in Dantons Tod ), at Heimathafen Neukölln (2011–2014) and at Ballhaus Ost in Berlin (2012).

Von der Wellens first made films at the beginning of his studies, for example as a law student Holger in the feature film My Crazy Turkish Wedding (2006). In the music video for Xavier Naidoo's song hold through (2010), he played the male lead, a martyr figure between Jesus Christ and St. Sebastian .

In the same year he played a supporting role at the side of August Diehl and Alexander Fehling (as an apartment owner) in the movie Who if not we , a political drama about the history of the German terrorism of the Red Army Faction .

From 2010 to 2015 von der Wellen played a continuous leading role in the television series Schloss Einstein . He portrayed the educator and new boarding school director Alexander "Alex" Fischer.

In the fairy tale film Snow White and Rose Red (2012) he had a supporting role as a one-armed farmer. He also had a supporting role in the fairy tale film The Little Mermaid (2013). He played Tönnes, one of the friends of Prince Nikolas ( Philipp Danne ). In the comedy film Miss Sixty (2014) he played the journalist Max Winther and Edgar Selge's film son , who played the leading male role.

In September / October 2015 von der Wellen made a television film for the ZDF television series Inga Lindström . In the film entitled Love Lives On , which was broadcast in May 2016, von der Wellen took on the male lead role as ornithologist Jonas Andersson. In February 2016 von der Wellen was seen in a leading role in the ZDF television series Der Bergdoktor ; he embodied the successful hotelier Thomas Lambert.

In March 2017, von der Wellen was seen in an episode role in the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante ; He played André Wittich, the husband of a Hamburg policewoman who was separated from his wife and who looked after juvenile intensive offenders from hot spots. In the 5th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose (2018-2019) he took on one of the leading roles in the episode as a friend of an extreme athlete . In the 17th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2020) Björn von der Wellen played one of the episode roles as the suspect sculptor and gallery owner Enno Paulsen. In the 6th season of the TV series All Friendship - The Young Doctors (2020), Björn von der Wellen took on one of the main episode roles as long-term student Joni Schubert, who comes to the emergency room after a breakdown.

Björn von der Wellen lives in Berlin.
