Raymond Barry "Ray" Jones (born August 28, 1988 in Newham , London , † August 25, 2007 in East Ham , London) was an English professional footballer . He played for the Queens Park Rangers ("QPR") and was a member of the England U19 national soccer team .
In April 2006 Jones had made his debut at the English second division QPR as a 17-year-old ; he scored five goals in his first season as a professional.
Ray Jones died in a traffic accident on August 25, 2007 in London, three days before his 19th birthday. His vehicle crashed into a bus. In addition to Jones, there were four other people in the car, two of whom were also killed.
