Ray Sims
Ray C. Sims (born January 18, 1921 in Wichita , Kansas ; † 2000 ) was an American jazz trombonist (also vocals) of swing .
He was the brother of Zoot Sims . He first played with Jerry Wald , with Bobby Sherwood , in 1947 with Benny Goodman and from 1949 to 1958 in the orchestra of Les Brown , in which he was a soloist. After that he was with Harry James .
He recorded in 1955 with Les Brown (also vocals), with Bill Johnson , Benny Goodman and Harry James and with Frank Sinatra, among others, It's a Lonesome Old Town .
