Raymond Cordy (born December 9, 1898 in Vitry-sur-Seine , † April 23, 1956 in Paris ) was a French actor .

Live and act

Cordy worked at the beginning of his career as a stage actor, especially in tabloids and on vaudeville stages. With the film since 1930, his work was soon closely linked to the work of the director and producer René Clair .

His role type was that of the average French, whether as a crook or a charmer. In Long Live Freedom , Cordy played the prison escape Louis who, thanks to his shrewdness, rose to become a factory owner. Most of the time, however, he only had little prominent supporting roles in little-known films.
