Raymond Robinson (cyclist)
Raymond Leonard "Ray" Robinson (born September 3, 1929 in Johannesburg ) is a former South African track cyclist .
Ray Robinson competed in three different disciplines at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 : he won the silver medal in the tandem race with Tommy Shardelow and the bronze medal in the 1000 meter time trial ; in this discipline he was also the South African champion in the same year. In the sprint , he finished fifth. Four years later he started again on the tandem with Shardelow at the Olympic Games in Melbourne , but the two riders were eliminated in the second round.
