Raymond S. Bradley

Raymond S. Bradley (* 1948 ) is Professor of Earth Sciences and Director of the Climate Research Center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst .

Bradley holds a B.Sc. and D.Sc. from the University of Southampton and an MA and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder . His research interests are v. a. in the field of climate history . He has published over 180 scientific articles on the topics of climate change and palaeoclimatology and is also the author or editor of 13 books on these topics.

As a consultant, Bradley et al. a. worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration , the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program, and the National Research Council . He also contributed to the Third Assessment Report of the IPCC . He has been an external member of the Finnish Academy of Sciences since 2008, the Academia Europaea since 2016 and the Royal Society of Canada since 2019 . He holds honorary doctorates from Lancaster University , the University of Bern and Queen's University (Kingston) and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science .
