Friba Razayee (born September 3, 1985 ) is an Afghan judoka . Together with Robina Muqimyar , she was the first Afghan woman to ever take part in the Olympic Games in 2004 .
Razayee and her family fled to Pakistan during the Taliban rule . It was there that she first came into contact with martial arts and began to box . After returning to her homeland in 2002 , she switched to judo and from 2003 began to prepare for the Olympic Games.
At the Olympic Games in Athens , Razayee competed in the middleweight division . In the first round she met the Spanish Vice European Champion Cecilia Blanco on August 18, 2004 and lost to Ippon after 45 seconds .
Razayee's coach was the Norwegian Stig Traavik , who himself took part in the 1992 Olympic Games.
