Razumovsky Quartet

The Razumovsky Quartet is a string quartet based in the Austrian capital Vienna .

It was founded in 2006 on the initiative of the "Razumovsky Society for Art and Culture" under the leadership of Gregor Razumovsky from the former "Drach Quartet" for the bicentenary of the opus string quartets dedicated to the diplomat and music patron Prince Andrej Razumovsky (1752-1836) 59 by Ludwig van Beethoven in memory of the music scholar Prof. Andreas Razumovsky (1929–2002). The musicians received significant sponsorship and support from their long-time teacher and mentor Valentin Berlinsky and the Vienna-based Alban Berg Foundation.
