The high school of the school association at the Lambach Benedictine Abbey is a private high school in the Lambach Abbey . Today it has 14 classes (10 lower grades and 4 upper grades), with around 350 students and 35 teachers.

history

Since it was founded in 1056, the Lambach Benedictine Abbey had both an internal and an external school.

After the Second World War , a new high school was started in 1948 with boarding for late-calling priest students. In 1951 the school was started as a secondary school from the age of 10 and was granted public rights in 1953 . In 1961 the Realgymnasium was closed for economic reasons, the Aufbaugymnasium was retained. In 1973, for the 25th anniversary, the collegiate high school for girls was opened. In 1973, on the 250th birthday of the Lambach monk Maurus Lindemayr, the schoolchildren performed the dialect fun game The Serious Fun . School reforms meant that the number of pupils in the secondary school fell. From 1988 the eight-year high school was reopened. In 1995, the final high school diploma took place.
