The real dictionary of classical antiquity for grammar schools is a specialist encyclopedia of antiquity that appeared in eight editions from 1855 to 1914 by the publisher BG Teubner in Leipzig .

The lexicon was founded by the classical philologist and grammar school teacher Friedrich Lübker , who published the first three editions. From the fourth edition, the lexicon was named after him by Friedrich Lübker's Reallexikon des classical antiquity for grammar schools .

The Lexicon of the Old World , published in 1965, saw itself in the tradition of this work .
