Rebecca Cantrell

Rebecca Cantrell (born 1968 ) is an American bestselling author, best known internationally as the author of the series The Order of the Sanguines Trilogy (German: The Blood Gospel , Erin Granger series) , which was written together with James Rollins . She is also the author of the four-part, award-winning Hannah Vogel series.

Life

Cantrell wrote and published her first series of novels in 2009 on the crime reporter Hannah Vogel, who was active in Berlin in the 1930s. With the first novel in the series, she won the 2010 Sue Feder Memorial Historical Mystery Award of the Macavity Awards and the Bruce Alexander Memorial Historical Mystery Award of the Left Coast Crime Conference. The fourth volume in the series A City of Broken Glass was nominated in 2013 for the Mary Higgins Clark Award and also for the Sue Feder Historical Mystery Macavity Award.

For the The Order of the Sanguines trilogy, in German Erin Granger series, Cantrell worked with the American author James Rollins . The first volume in the series, The Blood Gospel , became a bestseller in the United States and reached number 17 on The New York Times bestseller list . The German translation The Gospel of Blood was published on August 18, 2014 and reached position 35 on the Spiegel bestseller list.

Rebecca Cantrell is married and lives with her husband and son in Berlin.
