Rebell ( spelling REBELL ) is the youth association of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany (MLPD). It emerged in the summer of 1992 from the Workers' Youth Association / Marxist-Leninists (AJV / ML) and the Marxist-Leninist Pupils and Students Association (MLSV). According to its own information, the "rebel" is represented in 21 cities (as of January 2018), the 2014 report on the protection of the constitution spoke of 100 members. The average age of the youth association in 2006 was 16.4 years.
While the ideological and political orientation of the association is tied to the strategic guidelines of the MLPD, in practice it operates under its own organizational leadership. Members of the youth association Rebell are not automatically party members. With his motto “ Rebellion is justified! "And" Serve the People! "The rebel refers to Mao Zedong .
Affiliated to the rebel is the children's organization “Rotfüchse” , which children from 6 years of age can join.
