Research. Zeitung für Wissenschaft was a bimonthly newspaper for the humanities, social and cultural sciences.

The essays, lectures, reviews and reports in research are characterized by the fact that they are relevant beyond the boundaries of the respective subject and that they clearly show the relationship between science and social reality. The newspaper was published by Thomas Keul and Christian Reder , who are also publishers of the literary magazine Volltext . From 2008, Recherche appeared up to six times a year with a circulation of 25,000 copies, which were distributed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland at kiosks, subscriptions and through bookshops. The last edition was published in 2012; individual articles in 2013 and 2014 were posted online on the magazine's website.

One of the aims of research was to promote an attractive, accessible scientific prose that does without popularizing simplification. The target audience of Recherche was made up of scientists, students and a wide range of graduates in the humanities, social and cultural sciences.
